A bomb blast has been reported in Bauchi.
The explosion according to eyewitnesses, occured near People’s Club Hotel, Bayan Gari area of the town.
The hotel has a football viewing centre where several people were reportedly watching the life streaming of the EURO 2012 quarter final match between England and Italy.
Report of casualties is not immediately available.

These Policemen were killed by Armed Robbers in Okija,Anambra State
This is the report just reaching our desk that Dare devil armed robbers killed these policemen at Okija,Ihiala LGA Anambra State.The incident happened along the Onitsha/Owerri road, few kilometers from Onitsha earlier today.The policemen were said to have ran into the robbers who opened fire on them killing all of them even with their bullet proof dress.Their bodies lined down in the rain on the busy road .. the corpse of Slain police officers still littered the place and no security agent was in sight..

Adele’s bisexual boyfriend dumped her for her own gay pal, according to claims made in her new unauthorised biography.
The painful split was allegedly what inspired her very first album 19 – and paved the way for the record-shattering career that was to follow.
Apparently just four hours after pouring her heart out to the mystery lover, he cruelly revealed that he was leaving her for one of her own friends.

Jay-Z had a bit of extra fire in his belly last night – for good reason.
Pal Kanye West finally managed to get their other halves on good terms after a peace summit in Birmingham, of all places.
Beyonce and Kim Kardashian broke (gluten-free) bread and settled their differences before sitting together to see their men at work during the final show of the European leg of their Watch The Throne tour at the LG Arena on Friday night.
A source said: “The girls have never really seen eye-to-eye.
“It’s a shame because Jay-Z and Kanye are so close.
“Beyonce has always viewed Kim as a reality TV star who’s not earned her fortune with a specific talent.
“Kanye organised a dinner in his hotel suite for the girls to clear the air.
“He’s hoping that now they’re pals, it will lead to further get-togethers away from the tour.

Rihanna made a surprise appearance to perform Run This Town alongside Jay-Z, bringing to a close day one of Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend.
The Jigga Man asked organisers to delay the start of his performance to ensure it was dark when he got on stage.
He’d also requested his own sofas and carpet to be placed in his dressing room.
The rapper flew by helicopter to Hackney, having stayed the night in Babington House, Somerset — which is roughly 20 minutes from Glastonbury.
He and Beyonce travelled down there straight after the gig in Birmingham. They obviously have good memories of Worthy Farm after performing at the past two festivals.
They’d both have had another late night yesterday, too, as Jay-Z booked in another party at London club DSTRKT. It’s the same location which hosted his manager Ty Ty’s 40th birthday last month.
A host of hip-hop stars were expected to join them inside.
Rihanna is closing Hackney Weekend tonight so will have plenty of time to recover if she has a heavy night. She could always have a lie down on Jay-Z’s plush carpet.

Doctor steals friend’s medical certificate
Cases of misconduct by medical doctors reported to the Medical and
Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) are ready to be investigated, the
acting Registrar of MDCN, Dr. Udugbai Ilevbare says.
One of the misconduct cases being investigated by the MDCN involves a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) doctor in Ondo State.
The corper doctor allegedly used a practice certificate belonging to another doctor in Jos.
Another case being examined by investigation panel involves a doctor working in a government establishment in Cross River who was said to have stolen the practice certificate of a friend.
He claimed his friend was dead.
The acting Registrar of MDCN, Dr. Udugbai Ilevbare, at a press briefing, in Abuja, stated that although the total number of misconduct reported so far had risen to about 120, only 96 were ready for investigation.
He said, “The number is actually increasing by the day because Nigerians are now becoming more enlightened. The registered medical and dental practitioners, who breach our code of medical ethics in Nigeria (2008), would be brought to justice, through the appropriate disciplinary organs of the council.
“So far, we have 96 reports/complaints of unethical conduct and these are currently being investigated. Those found guilty would be adequately sanctioned.
Illevbare added that to facilitate this, the Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, had approved the continuation of the activities of the Medical and Dental Practitioners Investigative Panel of MDCN.
Assuring Nigerians that all cases reported would be diligently prosecuted, he added that all new reports would be promptly treated “to ensure that justice is done.”
According to him, the council is worried because the cases, if unchecked, have “the tendency to bring the profession into disrepute.”
The MDCN boss also requested the general public to “report all persons who practice medicine, but whose activities are suspicious and unprofessional, as they may be quacks or charlatans, for appropriate actions to be taken.”

Prezzo begged Goldie to reconsider quitting the show after she dropped the bomb to him.

The Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) yesterday warned Boko Haram insurgents to steer clear of Yorubaland.
Dr. Frederick Fasehun, Founder and President of the Congress (OPC), said, although Boko Haram’s current agitation justified OPC’s age-old demand for a Sovereign National Conference, his organisation would view the exporting of violence into the South-West as a declaration of war.
He said while the OPC sympathises with those who have causes to embark on, “local struggles for social-justice should be contained within local boundaries.”
He added: “Any extension beyond such boundaries clearly connotes the pursuing of a territorial ambition; and any people provoking other people through territorial ambition should ultimately expect a war. And in warfare, everything and anything is fair.
“OPC’s message should be clear to sponsors of the ongoing violence in our country. They should not unnecessarily jeopardize their own lives, their businesses and their other interests in the places where they currently enjoy peace. Yoruba people are not unaware of their addresses and their business interests throughout the South-West. A word is enough for the wise.
“Last year, the bodies of Yoruba graduates serving their fatherland in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) were brought home to us. OPC takes this opportunity to alert governors of the South-West on the need to take immediate measures to preempt and prevent the killing of our youths participating in the NYSC. The same advice goes to Yoruba indigenes residing in the North; they must do the needful to avoid danger overtaking them in the land of their sojourning.

A few minutes ago, Nigerian singer Goldie, who is on the Big Brother Stargame show, took another dramatic turn.
She has voluntarily requested to exit the show a few hours to Official Evictions.
In a weird twist, she also apologised to her friend Denrele Edun, who is a Channel O VJ.
It will be recalled that Goldie has faced a tumultous time in the house following a weird on-off romance with housemate Prezzo.

Come Shop Naked, Get Free Food
What would you do for free food?
More than 200 naked shoppers flocked to a German supermarket in hopes of snagging some free groceries last week.
The store, located in the city of Süderlügum, offered to treat the first hundred shoppers to up to $276 worth of items if they came wearing only their birthday suits, HyperVocal reports.
Apparently, the gimmick was a way to attract customers to the store’s grand opening, and it worked better than the manager ever hoped.
“I never thought a hundred people would come; I thought maybe more like ten,” Nils Sterndorff was quoted as saying in The Local.
To keep the event under control, shoppers were ushered into the store in groups of 20, according to the paper.
YouTube video of the grand opening shows customers patiently waiting in the lot before stripping and strutting inside to collect carts full of wine, soda and food. And with plenty of cameras following customers up and down the aisles, there was absolutely no room to be shy.
